Maine Real Estate Management (MREM) of Bangor, ME is looking to hire a full-time Assistant to the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in meeting the demanding Maintenance requirements for our rapidly expanding local property management company. Our customized property management services meet the specific needs of each client, including financial reporting, rent collections, cost savings plans, and leasing services. Our client roster includes condo associations, apartment complexes, offices, retail buildings, mobile home communities and single-family homes. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNTANT / BOOKKEEPER

-Coordinate, monitor and document larger scale maintenance issues with our trusted vendors (heating, plumbing, electrical, etc.)

-Independently troubleshoot basic maintenance concerns

- Assist in ordering/maintaining inventory for tools, parts and supplies

-Obtain, monitor and coordinate building construction quotes for items like soffits, roofs, foundations, large paving jobs, roll-off dumpsters, electrical issues

-Serve as the primary contact for Field Tech questions. Help answer general questions regarding properties and service issues techs have while the Maintenance Supervisor is in the field

-Follow up on Vendor issues like, no heat calls, no hot water calls

-Monitor Field Tech's daily activities through Verizon Connect and notify Maintenance Supervisor of concerns

- Monitor incoming employment applications

- Assist in cleaning and organizing shop space


QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNTANT / BOOKKEEPER

  • 3 years of maintenance related experience
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Ability to learn a new maintenance software (Rent Manager)
  • Can perform computer tasks such as converting documents to a to a pdf file, jpeg, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of septic system and well water repairs maintenance
  • General knowledge of building maintenance and repairs
